THE ONE golf tour Philosophy
Single-day competition places a premium on what matters most in elite golf—performance, focus, and execution. With only one round to post a score, players must stay present, patient, and fully committed to every shot, with no opportunity to recover over multiple days. This format sharpens the ability to manage pressure, respond to mistakes, and maintain concentration from the first tee to the final putt—skills that directly translate to multi-round events, where each day is ultimately just another opportunity to perform. While four-round tournaments are often viewed as the standard for development, the reality is that critical moments in a professional golfer’s career—such as pre-qualifiers and Monday qualifiers—are decided in a single round. The one-day model prepares players for exactly these moments, while also reducing the financial and travel burden that limits competitive opportunities. By enabling players to compete more frequently, with 100% of entry fees returned to the purse, the structure creates a more efficient, accessible, and performance-driven pathway for development.

the founder
THE ONE Golf Tour is brought to you by Dennis Hendershott.Dennis is a founder and the creator of the competitive philosophy behind THE ONE Golf Tour — a developmental one-day golf tour model built around the belief that elite players improve fastest when every round demands complete focus, patience, discipline, and execution. His approach emphasizes that true competitive growth is built not only through technical ability, but through learning how to perform under pressure, recover from adversity, and maintain focus over the entirety of a round.
Dennis brings a strong belief that meaningful development comes through purposeful competition. He is a strong advocate for the tour’s single-day format, recognizing its ability to accelerate player development by placing immediate value on preparation, patience, scoring discipline, and mental resilience.
He believes that creating more accessible and affordable competitive opportunities allows players to gain the reps necessary to improve while reducing many of the financial and travel burdens traditionally associated with developmental golf.l Impact.
